UPDATE FOR DHL
THE VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT) RULES IN THE EUROPEAN UNION (EU*) WERE AMENDED AND THE CHANGES BECOME EFFECTIVE AS OF JULY 1ST 2021:
Previously, commercial goods imported into the EU up to a value of 22 EUR were exempted from VAT.
As of July 1st, all commercial goods imported into the EU will be subject to VAT and will require formal customs declaration.
As a Shipper to the European Union or a Receiver in the European union, it is critical you have a clear understanding of the 1 July 2021 changes to Customs Regulations. (please prepare for pay the tax when you receive, if receiver deny for tax, the order will be cancel as no refund payment)
DHL Express recently hosted a Customer Webinar, joined by a EU Representative, with a focus to outline the 1 July changes and most importantly – what do you need to do to be ready.
